Godelive and Pauline have been farming since 1965. They work with their family and Gasharu coffee to provide a consistent and sustainable means of income. The Gasharu coffee model provides access to small loans before the coffee harvest season and allows families to solve basic household problems such as health insurance and schooling. The family owns and operates three coffee plantations, consisting of 3,684 plants total. In combination with hard work, the rich volcanic soil of the region ensures high levels of both quality and quantity.
