Before the RoastCo story begins...
RoastCo owner, Alex Roberts, begins his roasting career and discovers his passion for perfecting beans for the most delicious cup of coffee possible.
After spending plenty of time roasting, Alex became concerned with the other aspects of perfecting coffee. He started an equipment and sales business focusing on espresso machines and small coffee roasters
With a wealth of knowledge and experience, Alex opens RoastCo. Primarily to serve as the exclusive roaster for his partners in fine dining, RoastCo expands into wholesale in 2010.
Alex brings on Samuel Foss as his apprentice to learn roasting.
A New Head Roaster...
Samuel is promoted to Head Roaster and is responsible for creating the coffee we continue to be proud of.

Honduras Los Patios
Sweet and bright aroma with hints of light roasted Panamanian chocolate. This full bodied cup brings out notes of pear, persimmon, and molasses. Its caramel apple pop acidity makes it snap and shine.
Rosi Vasquez and Antonio Granados own and operate their small farm, Los Patios, in the village of Santa Elena, Honduras. They are members of Catracha Coffee, an association of producers, agronomists, and buyers. This group is founded and overseen by Mayra Orellana–Powell, a long time friend of RoastCo and resident of Oakland.
